If you are interested in becoming a volunteer advocate for a child we would like to hear from you.

If volunteering for CASA of San Benito County is a commitment you are considering you will be asked to participate in a comprehensive screening and training process. Please note, the screening process for volunteers is structured to ensure the proper fit for both the volunteer and the child. Screening is ongoing throughout training and the process includes:
  1. An interview with our staff
  2. A completed written application
  3. A signed volunteer agreement
  4. Submission of the following documents:
    • An FBI/DOJ and CACI background check
    • A DMV driving record printout
    • Three positive references
    • A statement of auto liability coverage*
  5. Participation in our 36-hour comprehensive training program

    *Proof of Insurance Coverage must be submitted continuously when policies expire or carriers change
