Training of CASA Volunteers

Volunteers acquire the skills and information to best serve the children by participating in the required, comprehensive 30-hour training curriculum and ongoing continuing education programs. For detailed information on the training curriculum and the subjects covered, please click here.

Court Appointed Special AdvocatesCASA of Monterey County adheres to the National CASA training model for the initial training of Court Appointed Special Advocates. In addition we include information specific to laws and trends in California and our local court rules. We provide continuing case supervision and offer monthly educational forums, exclusively designed to address the concerns and needs of our CASAs.

The
tragedy of
abuse is a
reality in our community. Abused and neglected children are everyone’s responsibility.
